Silicone joint renewal – a black joint is no longer dirt
If the shower joint stays black however hard you scrub, the mould is inside the silicone itself – only replacement helps. We cut out the old joints, clean the flanks and reseal them properly.
Cut out, clean, seal properly
Black spots in silicone are mould growing under the surface. Cleaners bleach it briefly, then it returns. We remove the joint completely, clean and dry the flanks and reseal with sanitary silicone – good for another five to eight years in normal use.
The best moment is together with a bathroom deep clean or before a flat handover: property managers reliably flag greyed joints. We charge by the metre or by the joint, so you know the cost beforehand.

Silicone Joint Renewal – FAQ
How long must the shower stay dry?
Around 24 hours, then the silicone has cured and the shower can be used again.
What does renewing a shower joint cost?
By the running metre, with a minimum per visit. A standard shower is a low three-figure amount including removing the old joint.
Is cleaning not enough?
Only if the mould is on the surface. If it sits in the silicone – black dots that will not go – replacement is the only fix.
